Welcome to PolyDock Seattle: Your Premier Docking Solution

PolyDock offers a comprehensive range of premium docking solutions designed to meet the diverse needs of waterfront property owners in Seattle. Whether you’re a homeowner or a business operator, if you work or play on the water, you need a reliable, durable, and versatile docking solution capable of adapting as your needs change.

Here’s what you get when you choose PolyDock’s modular docking systems:

  • Exceptional durability: Each PolyDock section is made from rotationally molded high-density polyethylene (HDPE). The rotational molding process creates a seamless structure without joints or weak points, making the dock resistant to cracking, warping, or splintering. This robust construction ensures the dock can withstand the demanding conditions of the Pacific Northwest, including saltwater and fluctuating weather conditions.
  • Unmatched versatility: PolyDock systems’ modular design lets you choose from a wide selection of dock section sizes to create the perfect waterfront layout. Connect multiple segments to the walkway to create an entertainment space or add capacity for a jet ski dock. Whether you need a dock for recreational boating, fishing, or simply enjoying the waterfront scenery, PolyDock has the perfect solution for you.

Choosing Your Perfect Dock

Selecting the right dock for your waterfront requires careful consideration. Here are some key factors to keep in mind:

  • Waterfront characteristics: Examine factors that include water depth, shoreline slope, and soil composition to determine the most compatible dock system. According to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), tides in Seattle can vary by up to 14 feet, making floating docks a popular and versatile choice.
  • Intended use: Do you need a sturdy platform for mooring a boat, a leisure area for swimming and enjoying the view, or all three? PolyDock Seattle offers a variety of dock sizes and configurations, including L-, T-, and U-shaped docks to suit your unique waterfront lifestyle.
  • Functionality and aesthetics: Your dock should complement your waterfront characteristics and reflect your style. With the widest array of dock accessories in the industry, from furniture and seating to handrails and ladders, PolyDock allows owners to customize their waterfront however they choose.

Installation Made Easy: PolyDock’s Expertise

Before you begin, check if all the parts you need are complete. Do not assemble, install, or use the product if there are missing or damaged items. If it’s your first installation, we recommend getting professional help from your local dealer to help ensure everything is done correctly, safely, and according to local regulations.

If you opt to take the DIY approach, here are a few tips:

  • Wear protective gear: Wear protective gloves, clothing, and eyewear to avoid personal injury while assembling and installing the dock.
  • Gather your tools: You’ll need the following tools: two 9/16” wrenches, two 1/2” wrenches, Phillips and Slotted screwdrivers, a cordless drill or impact wrench, and a torque wrench. It also takes at least two people to assemble a PolyDock floating dock.
  • Plan your work: It’s easiest to connect the dock sections on the water. Plan your work, connecting sections furthest from the shore first. Once connected, push them out and work on additional sections. The last sections connected should be those nearest to the shore. If you can't work in the water, find a flat area with plenty of room. You can tow the docks into position later.
  • Ensure proper anchoring: This prevents the dock from overly shifting or becoming dislodged by adverse weather conditions. Consult PolyDock Seattle’s team of experts to determine the most suitable dock anchor system.

Unlike fixed docks, which often involve extensive and costly construction, our docking solutions require minimal tools and labor. This reduces initial costs and makes it easier to reconfigure as needs change or remove for seasonal storage.

Maintenance and Care for Your Dock

We designed our floating dock systems to be virtually maintenance-free. The dock surfaces are slip, stain, and algae growth resistant, eliminating the need for power washing and re-painting. Periodic cleaning with mild soap and water is usually enough to keep PolyDock systems in excellent condition. Just make sure to tighten all connections and anchorages, and you’re good to go.

However, you will need to perform the following to ensure the longevity and safety of your PolyDock system:

  • Regular cleaning: In addition to washing the dock surface, removing debris such as leaves and other foreign objects from the dock surface prevents dirt and marine growth buildup.
  • Periodic inspections: Look for loose connections and signs of corrosion, wear, damage, or any other issues that may compromise the dock’s structural integrity. If you see anything that needs to be replaced, do so immediately.
  • Seasonal maintenance: Before and after the winter season, thoroughly inspect your dock for any damage caused by harsh weather conditions. Address any issues promptly to prevent further problems.

At PolyDock, we pride ourselves on our products’ ease of ownership, enabling you to spend more time doing what you enjoy and less time on maintenance tasks.
